BRIEF HISTORY OF THE STORE
Naples On The Run opened in the spring of 1992. It had long been the dream of three local runners, Perry Silverman, Mitch Norgart,and Arthur Scheinholz, to have a real running store in Collier County. That spring they hired local runner , triathlete, and former bike shop owner, George Dondanville to be the manager and kicked open the doors in March 1992.. With a combined 100 years or more of running experience between them and the fact that they were deeply involved in local running the store quickly became the center of the running and racing community in Southwest Florida.
Through the years Naples On The Run has continued to be the place to go for the proper fit in the latest model shoe as well as clothing and all the needed accessories for runners, triathletes, and walkers.
The store sponsors several major races each year along with the occassional "bagel run"; and Perry and George are almost always on site at all the local races lending their technical and organizational skills.
So if you are looking for the newest in gear; or want to know what's going on race wise;or simply want to hang out at one of Florida's top running stores - Come On By. George promises to greet you with a smile and share a story or advice from his vast knowledge of running, triathlon (or whatever).....
